Our Background
Matt Oliver, Ph.D., HSPP
Dr. Matt Oliver is a licensed psychologist with nearly 25 years of experience in behavioral health, healthcare leadership, and relational care. He works with individuals and couples seeking personal growth, a deeper sense of connection, and healthier relational balance. Dr. Oliver's approach to couples therapy is grounded in evidence‑based practice, outcome‑informed care, and a deep respect for the complexity of relationships. Drawing on extensive experience across outpatient programs, crisis services, addiction recovery, and family systems, he helps couples better understand the patterns that keep them stuck and develop practical tools to foster emotional safety, trust, and lasting change. Throughout his career, Dr. Oliver has served in senior clinical and executive leadership roles within large nonprofit healthcare and behavioral health organizations, overseeing programs that support individuals, families, and couples across the lifespan. This systems‑level experience informs his work in the therapy session, allowing him to thoughtfully address how mental health, substance use, trauma, parenting stress, and life demands impact relationships. Couples often describe Dr. Oliver as calm, collaborative, and clear, balancing warmth with direction. His work emphasizes shared goals, meaningful progress, and skills couples can use beyond sessions. Dr. Oliver holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology, an MBA in Health Services Administration, and has been licensed as a psychologist in Indiana since 2006.
Allison Bordeaux, PsyD., HSPP
Dr. Allison Bordeaux draws on extensive clinical experience and behavioral health leadership to thoughtfully support couples and individuals in their intimate and relational lives. Her work centers on helping partners strengthen communication, deepen emotional and physical intimacy, and navigate relational challenges with compassion and clarity. With more than a decade of behavioral health leadership experience, Dr. Bordeaux has held senior roles overseeing outpatient and specialty programs, advancing evidence‑based practices, and supporting high‑quality care across multiple communities. Throughout her training, Dr. Bordeaux intentionally sought out advanced clinical knowledge by completing coursework in human sexuality, gender studies, couples therapy, and by interning at one of Chicago's largest LGBTQ+ community health centers during her doctoral training. Her longstanding interest in sexuality and intimate relationships was further shaped through clinical learning experiences connected to the Kinsey Institute, informing her inclusive, affirming, and relationship‑centered approach.
